Habitat Young Leaders Build (HYLB) is a youth-driven movement across the Asia-Pacific region to combat poverty housing and support families in need of safe, decent homes. Since its launch in 2012, HYLB has united young people, celebrities, and corporate volunteers to volunteer, fundraise, and advocate for affordable housing as a pathway out of poverty.

The campaign mobilizes youth to take action both on-site and online, creating a tangible impact on poverty housing in the Asia-Pacific region.
Address a Critical Need: Over 500 million people in the Asia-Pacific region live in slums, and 1.6 billion globally lack adequate shelter.
Empower Youth: HYLB provides a platform for young leaders to take action and inspire change.
Make a Difference: Your efforts help families achieve self-sustainability through safe and affordable housing.
Play a Part: Volunteer on build sites or participate in local activities.
Take the Lead: Fundraise through Give2Habitat.org or organize events.
Share the Message: Spread awareness on social media using #HabitatYLB.
2015: Over 668,000 participants from 16 countries raised $560,000, helping 13,000 families.
2014: 800,000 supporters across 11 countries raised $400,000, serving 1,700 families.
2023 HYLB Campaign
Launch: December 5, 2023 (International Volunteer Day).
Peak: April 2, 2024, with simultaneous builds and activities across the region.
Originally called Habitat Youth BUILD, the campaign was renamed Habitat Young Leaders Build to reflect the growing role of youth as leaders of today, not just tomorrow.
